New Release Sunday!! 😊
Welcome back for another new release for July 2018!! This one is most exciting for me as I am reading the ARC right now! Our choice this Sunday is:
Nyxia Unleashed – The Nyxia Triad Book 2!! This epic, fast-paced, dystopian thriller is set to release July 17th!! You don’t want to miss it!! If you haven’t read the first book I highly recommend it to Dystopian, Fiction fans. Here is a little bit about the title Marie Lu referred to as “a high-octane thriller”!!
Emmett Atwater thought Babel’s game sounded easy. Get points. Get paid. Go home. But it didn’t take long for him to learn that Babel’s competition was full of broken promises, none darker or more damaging than the last one.
Now Emmett and the rest of the Genesis survivors must rally and forge their own path through a new world. Their mission from Babel is simple: extract nyxia, the most valuable material in the universe, and play nice with the indigenous Adamite population.
But Emmett and the others quickly realize they are caught between two powerful forces—Babel and the Adamites—with clashing desires. Will the Genesis team make it out alive before it’s too late?

June 12th Updates!!
Alrighty folks, so it was my 30th birthday this weekend and in all my years probably the best. Hence my absence over the weekend, and my apologies for so.
However, I have lots of stuffs’ to talk about!! First my birthday book haul!! So I loved the excerpt for Undead Girl Gang by Lily Anderson and so this weekend when I hit Barnes and Noble I totally grabbed my copy!! First thing is the dust jacket, I love it!! The design is totally perfect. Second is the Main character in the story. She is a loaner in her unique ways such as studying the art of Wicca. A long since gone practice, when her best friend she decided to give a go at the magic her friend was so convinced was real. Turns out she gets more then she bargains for when all of the dead girls come back to help her figure out who is murdering them!?!? I also grabbed the second book in the Red Queen series. It is a must to prepare for the final book War Storm!! I had it on my kindle but what’s better than the physical book!?!? Last but not least is ACOFAS – or A Court of Frost and Starlight!! Where we do see more of the Night Court and Velaris!! While we do love seeing the gang again I am getting mixed feelings about this read!! 😭 What is a fangirl to do!?!? Read it!!!
While that was the haul this past weekend, I also got caught up on some stuff. I have posted the review live for My Name is Victoria. So you can now find it in the menu. There are two girls. Both named Victoria. Both very identical. Miss V. Is supposed to befriend the Princess, soon to be Queen, Victoria. Then report back to her father. However she learns more about the system her father presses for, the other members of the Royal Family, and much much more. Including her own fathers secrets!! Plot twists were incredible in this book!! It did take me a minute to get into but I loved it once the story picked up!!
I also managed to finish Scythe, book 1 in the Arc of The Scythe series by Neal Shusterman. I am excited to say I loved it and don’t know why I had waited so long to trust myself and read it!! The full review is available of course, just go to the menu above!! You can also find all my reviews on my GoodReads profile!! 47/100 reads so far for 2018!! We are on a roll with three books ahead of schedule! Now down to other news!! You can check yesterday’s amaze feeds for the Shout Outs’!! As well as today’s new QOTD!! Don’t be afraid to get personal y’all, my answer is already there!! Go, have some fun!!
And also be sure to check out @bookishbossclub IG feed!! There has been a winner chosen and the read dates are listed!! This months book is a high speed, dark and twisted fantasy novel, with bad ass female leads!! Furyborn by Claire LeGrande!!!! If you don’t know what the Bookish Boss Book Club is then what are you waiting for!?!? Don’t miss another month of reading some amazing YA novels with some amazing and creative men and women!!!! Again that page is @bookishbossclub I am always excited to read with everyone especially my babes and fellow admins!! Pam, Ashley, and Kaitlin!!!!
Now I must get back to my awesome current reads: ACOFAS and Little Big Love!! Have a great Tuesday readers!! Enjoy the summer sun and fun!! 🌞

A Siren Song
Thoughts on This Months Book
This month, the book club voted for To Kill A Kingdom by Alexandra Christo. We began our read yesterday with the first 60 to 80 pages. We start by meeting the Siren Princess, Lira, whose known for her princes hearts. She has seventeen hearts of Princes under her floor. Her mother the Sea Queen/Sea Witch is amazingly cruel to her heir. However she feels Lira not worthy of the crown and changes her plans for her eighteenth heart, the Prince of Gold. Que our great Prince, Elian. Elian may be the Prince of Midas but he prefers the travels of the sea, a siren hunter and pirate prince!! Being so, Elian does not fit well on his land, with his royalty for that.
After taking a Princes heart before her turn, the Sea Queen punishes Lira. She takes her Siren Song, splitting her in two. Forcing her to win Elians heart with no song, no magic, pure heart and love?!
Today we continue reading with another 60 to 80 pages!!! I am already loving the world the author has painted on and below land. The characters are vivid, and enchanting. I can not wait to continue this retelling of the Little Mermaid with a darker twist.
Updates from Yours Truly
Welcome back everyone, again sorry for the absence lately. However, you can now view todays’ shout outs’, in the menu!! April has been busy, and depressing so far, but I’m on track to make it better!! So, in other news… We started our second read today as a group!! The book club has really opened up, and now has plenty of followers with whom we love reading with!! So if you haven’t joined us for a read, what are you waiting for!? This months pick is amazing!! Enchanting and gruesome, a retelling of the little mermaid!! To Kill A Kingdom has so far lived up to my expectations!! Im excited to continue not the read, but discussions with the members as well. So don’t miss out and join now, on IG @bookishboosclub, and Facebook @BookishBossBookClub!!!
I thank all of my followers for your patience. As the military handled our tragedy personally, I had to remain absent. So I thank you while I helped my fiance and his family. However, I will be back on track tomorrow. Starting with shout outs, and the Book Club read through starts tomorrow!! So be sure to tune in from here on as I am going to be working to get everything out that was planned. New Release Titles and more!! Thank you again everyone for your kind words as well as your support here.
Blog Tour Review – Not That I Could Tell by Jessica Strawser
*From the description/synopsis*
Drinks in hand, a group of neighborhood women gather around the fire pit to enjoy a night of drinks, laughter, and shared secrets. The single newcomer. The imperfect mom. The newborn parent. The military wife. The almost divorcee. By Monday morning one of them would be gone. An innocent night of fun has shocking repercussions, in this amazing page-turner, suspense from Jessica Strawser, Not That I Could Tell.
Everyone knows something about everyone else in quirky Yellow Springs, Ohio, but no one can make sense of the disappearance. Kristin was a sociable twin mom, college admin., and doctors wife who didn’t seem at all bothered by her impending divorce – and the investigation turns up more questions than answers, with her husband, Paul at the center of them all.
For closest neighbor Clara, the incident triggers memories she thought she had put behind her, when she’s unable to extract herself from the widening circle of scrutiny, her own suspicions quickly grow. But the newest edition to the neighborhood, Izzy, is determined not to jump to any conclusions – especially since she is dealing with a crisis of her own. As police investigation goes from, media circus to a cold case, the neighbors are forced to reexamine what’s going on behind their own closed doors, and asking how well anyone really knows anyone else.
Read my review now, under the archive look for this title!! You won’t be disappointed.

Hey guys welcome back for a brand new month. Some of my older followers know I always do a special feature for: Shop of The Month, and an Author Spotlight. However, with the hectic time and so much happening and changing as taken a lot of time, patience, and mental strength. So I simply did not get a chance this month. Perhaps I can come up with something for later but the timing is not right yet. Thank you for your patience again.
Welcome Back – Updates 2018
April 1st, 2018, Sunday
Well guys it is not only the first of a new month, but also today is April Fools day, and Easter Day. Those of you who are celebrating, Happy Easter!!
I’m sure you have noticed my immediate absence in the past weekend. I do apologize but we have a family emergency that will pain us the rest of our lives, we lost someone very young, amazing, kind, and smart. He was extremely important as he is my fiances brother. So we are bot taking lightly to the matter and I appreciate your patience during this time.
However I was fortunate enough to have finished Black Chuck by Regan Mcdonell, the date of release for this title is April 3, 2018. Regan McDonell has created a very dark and extraordinary tale. However please heed the warning for triggers as it does have many graphic scenarios, which may be upsetting for not only younger readers but also anyone who may have experienced these situations. My review is up for the title, under the Menu.
I will be back tomorrow to update and get back on track.

This past Sunday we were a little preoccupied with getting our heads straight and minds right. However, we are here today with an all new title!! Don’t forget also, Queens of Innis Lear and Terra Nova are set to release today!!
Now for our title: Reaper At The Gates by Sabaa Tahir, release date is June 12, 2018!! Keeps your eyes peeled or preorder on Amazon.
The Blood Shrike, Helene Aquilla, is assailed on all sides. Emperor Marcus, haunted by his past, grows increasingly unstable, all the while, the Commandant capitalizes on his own power. As Helene searches for a way to hold back the approaching darkness, her sisters life and the lives of all those in the Empire hang in the balance.
Far to the East, Laia of Serra, knows the fate of the world lies not in the machinations of the mortal court, but in stopping the NightBringer. But while hunting for a way to bring him down, Laia faces unexpected threats from those she hoped would help her, and is drawn into a battle she never thought she she would have to fight.

New Title Sunday – Queens of Innis Lear by Tess Gratton
Title releases March 27th, 2018!!
A Kingdom at risk, A crown divided, A family drenched in blood. The eratic decisions of a prophecy-obsessed King have drained Innis Lear of its wild magic, leaving behind a trail of barren crops and despondent subjects. Enemy Nations circle the once bountiful isle, sensing its growing vulnerability, hungry to control the ideal port for all trade routes.
The kings three daughters – battle hungry Gaela, master Manipulator Reagan, and restrained, starblessed Elia – know the realms only chance of resurrection is to crown a new sovereign, proving a strong hand can resurrect magic, and defend itself. But their father will not choose an heir, until the longest night of the year when prophecies align and a poison ritual can be enacted.
Refusing to leave their future in the hands of blind faith, the daughters of Innis Lear prepare for war – regardless of who wins the crown, the shores of Innis will keep the blood of a house divided.
The title is available, March 27th, but you can still add it to your Good reads shelf now!! It has a few confusing reviews, but it seems well liked and and has plenty of 4 and 5 star ratings!!! So be to check out when it hits stores, or better yet preorder now on Amazon!!
Attention – Updates
Hello everyone!! I know it is Saturday and I know I have been absent. I had a tragedy close to me, a friend committed suicide. I was completely depressed and just didn’t have the answers I wanted at the time. I threw myself into a whirlwind and got stuck. But I am doing better because I got help in doing so. Thank you for your patience. Now, onto the good stuff… There is a QOTD from Thursdays miss, and Shout Outs’ from yesterday. We finished our book club read, I will have the review up later, Im spending time with the kiddo. I was also able to finish Children of Blood and Bone, let me just say this is a book needed in society right now, and I like the way she expressed her concern through history, true history. However, the magic was completely surreal, the characters points, were the narration. You heard the story from both sides and I really liked it. It also had kick ass editing because it flowed as though it were one vision of character not multiple. I was so amazed by her writing and can not wait to see more from Tomi Adeyemi. Also guys, I have a Blog tour in April for Not That I Could Tell by Jessica Strawser, My review will be up on the eleventh of April and run through from there. Please come and check it out and show me some support if you don’t mind!! As this will be my first!!
March 14th, 2018: Updates
First I would like to apologize for my absence yesterday. There was unfortunate event that needed my attention more. And before we go on, I want to say this… I know life is hard more than a lot of people, and have suffered a lot myself. I have had my fair share of days where suicide seems the answer, however I found out im not alone. I also found out how many different resources were available for my benefit, and free of cost. Please, your never alone and nothing is worth more than a life, don’t take your own. Talk about it, even to me if you want. Email me and I will respond quickly!! Just please no more death.
On a brighter note, yesterday QOTD is up today, and I am working on a new set of shout outs as well. Thank you for your patience. We are going into day three of our book club read through!! Going good, so far everyone is enjoying the read. I have had so much fun connecting with new people!!

We all know that cookouts, family and of course fireworks marks the 4th of July. However I feel like many have forgotten why we celebrate it.
Independence day commemorates what great men and women fought for all these years, The Declaration of Independence. The freedoms we have today, are celebrated by the marking if the 4th of July.
The Declaration was signed July 4th, 1776; the continental congress declared the thirteen american colonies no longer part of British Parliament, free from the British Empire during the American Revolution. The actual vote for the declaration had occurred a mere two days earlier to the actual signing. This was actually guessed by Richard Henry Lee to happen days earlier when he phoned wife Abigail with the prediction. Signing involved the Committee of Five, with Thomas Jefferson as Principal Author and revisionist. The Declaration being a statement to the public and government explaining the decision. It doesn’t seem like much but it meant everything we have and are today.
However, there are other weird markers involving the Committee of Five, and the 4th July. There were several of the committee party, who had become Presidents of the US, and/or died on this day, years later!!!
Makes you wonder why this day was so special throughout these events.Weird right lol?!
This is also a day to celebrate the lives of the men and women who fight to continue these freedoms until this very day!! Thank you!!
July 4th, 2018 – June Reading Wrap Up

5. The Belles by Dhonielle Clayton
